I am super proud to welcome you to CRuNCH.

CRuNCH is a charity I’ve spent the past year setting up, but is in fact the culmination of many, many years of working in the food industry and in food education, delivering healthy eating programmes in schools.

As a registered charity (1211341) CRuNCH wants all teenagers to cook 5 simple, healthy meals before they leave home.

Our grassroots 5 week programme, Cook5 with CRuNCH, equips teenagers, especially those from disadvantaged backgrounds, with cooking skills, a good understanding of basic nutrition and arms them with 5 simple recipes which they can cook from scratch.

That gives them a solid foundation for a healthier, happier future.

Most initiatives focus on the early years and primary school children, and often with a focus on changing the quality of food supplied to the children in school – charities such as Chefs In Schools and The Magic Breakfast do this brilliantly – and indeed some really great progress has been made within this age group️.

➡️Fast forward to senior school. Kids become more independent, and sadly the enthusiasm for healthy eating often takes a back seat…

…the scary truth is that 66% of the UK teenager’s calories comes from Ultra Processed Foods.

That’s the highest of any age group.

With Cook5 with CRuNCH we want to change that!

It’s all about the power of 5️⃣, a recipe for making cooking fun, accessible and, most importantly, achievable.

CRuNCH has big ambitions! We plan to impact 500,000 young lives by 2030…
